The proposal looks to reimagine the iconic Glasgow tenement. It questions how the buildings could incorporate nature, not only as motifs evident in many of the stone buildings around the city but also ferns, grasses and moss which provide environmental and psychological benefits. The classical form is broken down and eroded with a bio inspired texture which create areas for plant rooting and water retention which in turn allows plant growth to thrive. The result is a building which aesthetically move towards the synthesis of the natural and the made.
